Children

How can a church best love the children of their congregation?

At New Song Bible Church we are firmly convicted that the most meaningful way for a congregation to love its children is to limit how often we separate them from the Body, and to look for every opportunity to include them in the Body.

This being the case, we do not send our children away from any portion of our worship service. We do provide nursery for the very littles (0-3 years old), but we believe the greatest gift we can offer our children is the unspeakable privilege of really being a part of the blood-bought Body of Christ. Your children are welcome in our services!

That being said, we do offer several unique opportunities for our children to learn and grow together, to help cultivate a culture of children who love being discipled to worship and know God.  If you have any other questions about children’s ministries, please contact the office.

New  Song Youth Choir

We have a wonderful youth choir led by Mrs. Alisha Dawson, where  ages 5-18 learn to sing hymns and spiritual songs, periodically blessing our congregation with Sunday morning performances, and even, on occasion, ministering at the local nursing homes by singing for its residents. Youth choir practices take place 45 minutes before the start of Sunday morning worship.

Sunday School

During the fall and spring semesters, New Song offers seasonal Sunday School after church. While the adults are meeting in the sanctuary, we offer children’s Sunday School separately, while we teach them from Kevin Deyoung’s “Biggest Story” Curriculum, explaining how all the stories in the Bible tell the one big story of God redeeming the world through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Vacation Bible School

One week every summer we offer our VBS program, where over 200 children from the community gather and learn, sing, and memorize the truths of the Bible!
